Membership at Springfield Motor Boat Club is by invitation, member sponsor and approval of the Club. A membership at the Club permits the member and immediate family members to use club facilities in accordance with the regulations the club's bylaws. Immediate family includes the member's spouse and unmarried children (who are under the age of twenty-one and either living in the member's home or attending school on a full-time basis).
Current members are welcome to bring guests to the club for dining and events (when guests are included). All guests MUST be accompanied by the host member. To become a member, one needs to submit an application complete with signed recommendations from two current SMBC members. This application plus a $25 application fee is processed and voted on by membership. Applications are available from current members or stop by the club to pick one up. Approved applicants are added to the membership waiting list and contacted when membership openings become available. Applicants are not granted any club privileges. Membership costs $325.00 per year plus a one-time $200 initiation fee. SMBC does not have reciprocal agreements with other Lake Springfield clubs. You must be a member to here to use the facilities. |
